Privacy Policy

Last updated: 7 September 2026 (first published 9 August 2026)

The short version. BeatMaxing analyzes your music on your own Mac. Your audio is never uploaded, never sent to us, and never sent to anyone else. The only information we ever receive is what you choose to email us.

Who this covers

This policy covers the website beatmaxing.com and the BeatMaxing plugin and helper application for Adobe Premiere Pro. "We" and "us" mean BeatMaxing.

What the plugin collects: nothing

The BeatMaxing panel and helper do not collect, store or transmit your audio, your projects, your files, or anything about you.

The three connections the helper makes.

1 · The daily update check. Once a day, the helper asks beatmaxing.com whether a newer version exists. The request carries the helper's own version number and nothing else — nothing about you and nothing about your music. Like any request to any website, our host sees your IP address. If a newer version exists, the helper downloads it from that same site. When the newer version includes the Premiere panel, the helper also asks GitHub (raw.githubusercontent.com) for that panel's published checksum and refuses to install it unless both answers agree. That request sends nothing about you or your music either; GitHub sees your IP address, as any website would.

2 · A one-time model download. The first time the helper needs its separation engine, it downloads the model files that engine needs — the main one is about 639 MB — from GitHub, where the engine's models are published. It tries a copy BeatMaxing keeps there first, and the engine's own publishers if that copy is not available. Each model is saved on your Mac, so this happens once, not once per song. Like any request to any website, GitHub sees your IP address. Nothing about you or your music is sent.

3 · Checking a license key. BeatMaxing will need a license key from November 15, 2026. When you enter one, and from time to time while you keep using it, the helper asks the company that issues the keys — Polar (polar.sh) — whether yours is still valid. That request carries your key and an identifier for the Mac you activated it on. Nothing about you, your music, your projects or your files is sent, and we never see your key ourselves. Polar sees your IP address, as any website would. Before that date BeatMaxing needs no key and makes no such request at all.

Those are the only outbound connections in the product, and your audio is never part of any of them. Once the model is saved, everything except the update check and the key check works with your wifi switched off.

Files kept on your own Mac. BeatMaxing keeps its working files in your Application Support folder: a small log and status file so problems can be diagnosed, and, while it works on a clip that needs converting, a plain-audio copy of it so the panel can read it. If you asked it to ignore the vocals, it makes two working copies instead: the music without the vocals, and the vocals on their own. All of these are removed as soon as BeatMaxing is finished with them, and if one is ever left behind, it clears it out by itself the next time it runs. The same folder holds the drum hits it found, the marker list the panel writes when you export one, and the engine's model files once they are downloaded. Like most audio apps, BeatMaxing saves a little setup data outside its own folder so it starts faster next time. It's ordinary housekeeping, it stays on your Mac, and it holds nothing about you or your music. We never see any of these files unless you choose to send one to us.

What the website collects

When you email us at support@beatmaxing.com, we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use your email and your message to answer you. If you asked to be told when the paid version lands, we keep your address so we can send you that one message, and nothing else - we never sell it or share it, and you can ask us to delete it at any time. There is no contact form on this site.

Cookies and site statistics. This site is built and hosted on Wix, and Wix places the cookies its hosting needs to work. We receive no visitor statistics: this site carries no analytics, no tracking pixel and no counter of any kind. Where a cookie banner is shown, non-essential cookies are only set if you agree to them. We do not run advertising trackers and we do not sell or share anything about you.

Downloads. Downloading BeatMaxing does not require an account and we do not attach your name to a download.

Who else can see it

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone else except where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep emails for as long as they are useful for supporting you, and we delete them if you ask us to.

Your rights

Depending on where you live — including under the GDPR in the UK and EU, and the CCPA in California — you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, and to object to how we use it. You will never be treated differently for asking.

Because BeatMaxing collects nothing from the software itself, in practice this almost always means the contents of a message you sent us. Email support@beatmaxing.com and we will deal with it.

Children

BeatMaxing is a tool for video editors and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us information, tell us and we will delete it.

Security

Emails you send us are held in our Google Workspace mailbox and protected by Google's security. No system is perfect, and we will not pretend otherwise — but because we hold so little, there is very little to lose.

Changes to this policy

If BeatMaxing ever starts collecting something it does not collect today, this page will be updated before that version is released, and the date at the top will change.
